Every day, mothers across Kenya rise early, determined to provide for their families. But in their kitchens, they face a painful choice; cook with smoky fuels or spend too much on alternatives that strain their already tight budgets.
No family should have to make that compromise and everyone deserves an affordable way to cook. That belief is what drives us to create a sustainable solution that transforms kitchens into healthier safer spaces. Lynda is not just about fuel. It’s about the mother who no longer has to watch her children cough over smoky fires, the school that can cook for hundreds of students without polluting the air and the food vendors who can run their businesses without sacrificing their health or their profits.

Melyn Abisa is an environmentalist and social entrepreneur with 5+ years’ experience in project management, nature-based solutions, and MEAL. At Lynda Bioenergy, she leads legal and business strategy, driven by a passion to make clean, affordable cooking a reality for every household.
